What you can do with it
Start and run workflows
Start any published workflow from another system, with its request details already filled in. Follow every request as it moves: read its status and steps, approve or cancel it, add comments and attachments, send it for signature, and pull its negotiation versions and full activity history.
Contracts and the Knowledge Center
Upload contracts and other documents, update their attributes, search the repository, and read the contract data Chamelio extracts, along with your document types and fields.
Files and signed documents
Download the files attached to a request and the signed documents a workflow produces, so the final version lands wherever it’s needed.
Ask the Agent
Hand a plain-language question to the Chamelio Agent from your own application, follow up on its answer, and approve the actions it proposes. Search across workflows, contracts, and files in one call.
Users and groups
Read and create users and groups, so the people in Chamelio stay in step with the rest of your organization.
Clickwrap
Serve your click-through agreements, record each acceptance, and look up who accepted which version and when.
Real-time events with webhooks
Chamelio can tell your systems the moment something happens, with more than 20 event types. For example, when a document is uploaded, updated, or deleted, when a request is created, moves to a new step, gets a comment or a new negotiation version, or completes, and when a clickwrap agreement is accepted. Your systems stay in sync without anyone copying details from one tool to another.AI assistants (beta)
The Chamelio MCP server lets AI assistants that support the Model Context Protocol work with Chamelio for a signed-in user: find workflows and start requests, check on tasks, search contracts, download signed documents, and ask the Chamelio Agent.Secure by design
- Two ways to connect. An organization API key for trusted server-to-server integrations, or an OAuth 2.1 application that acts on behalf of one user, limited to the permissions that user granted.
- Your permissions still apply. An OAuth application can only reach what its user can see in Chamelio.
- Signed events. Every webhook is signed, so your systems can confirm it came from Chamelio.
- Fair use. Requests are rate limited, with the current limits returned on every response.
