To ensure Chamelio Core analyzes and classifies documents accurately from day one, a few details about your organization and contracts are needed. These settings are typically configured during onboarding in collaboration with your Chamelio legal engineer.

1. Entity Names

This list tells Chamelio which names to recognize as part of your organization or as a party to your agreements. What to provide: A comprehensive list of all legal names for your company, its affiliates, subsidiaries, and any entities that appear as signatories or contracting parties in your agreements.
Include common abbreviations and variations. For example, if your company is “Acme Corporation”, also include “Acme Corp”, “Acme Inc”, and any trade names.
For more detail on managing entities after initial setup, see Legal Entities.

2. Document Types for Classification

Chamelio uses Document Types to categorize your contracts. A standard set of types is extracted by default — review and confirm which categories matter most to your team. Default types extracted:
  • Vendor Agreement
  • Master Services Agreement (MSA)
  • Data Processing Agreement (DPA)
  • Business Associate Agreement (BAA)
  • Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)
  • Trial / Evaluation
  • Order Form
  • Statement of Work (SOW)
  • Partnership Agreement
  • Vendor Order Form
  • Other
Action required:
  1. Review the list above
  2. Confirm which types you want Chamelio to actively classify
  3. Specify any additional categories to add (e.g., SaaS Agreement, Distribution Agreement)

3. Common Exhibits and Attachments

Helps Chamelio correctly associate ancillary documents with their primary contracts. What to provide: A list of standard names you use for attachments, schedules, appendices, or exhibits that are frequently appended to your main contract types.

4. Templates for Training

Providing samples of your own agreements is the fastest way to fine-tune Chamelio’s analysis to your drafting style and contract structure. What to provide: The collection of templates you frequently use for the document types you plan to upload to Chamelio Core.
