What you can do
- Give agents a role - Agents take on recurring work such as filing contracts, watching renewals, answering policy questions, flagging obligations, or chasing unsigned envelopes.
- Start from a ready-made agent or build your own - Pick an agent built for a common role on a contract team and customize it, or describe a new one in plain language.
- Answer questions where people ask them - Agents can answer questions in Slack or Microsoft Teams from your contracts and policies, cite their sources, and bring in a person when needed.
- File contracts into your repository - An agent can upload contracts shared in a Slack channel to your contract repository and reply in the thread with the result.
- Keep a person in the loop - You decide which actions need human approval, and anything that needs review is sent to you or to someone you choose.
- Track every run - See what is running now, what is waiting for review, and the status and trigger of each past run.
How it works
- Role and task - Each agent has an instruction that says what to do, written in plain language, and can point to the resources it should work from, such as documents in the Vault.
- Trigger - A trigger decides when an agent runs: on demand, on a schedule, when an email arrives at the agent’s own address, from a Slack or Microsoft Teams channel, or when there is contract activity.
- Approval and messages - Agents can send Slack, email, or Microsoft Teams messages, and you control which actions wait for your approval and who an agent can message.
- Runs - Each run is logged with its status, trigger, and duration, and runs that wait for approval stay pending until someone approves or rejects them.
Works with
For one-off reviews, research, and drafting, you chat with the Agent directly, while Agent Hub agents take on recurring roles. Agents can file documents into the Knowledge Center, where they become part of the permanent contract record. An agent can also start a workflow in Flows. Agents that run from a channel use the Slack or Microsoft Teams integration. See how they fit together on Chamelio Features.See it in action
- Ask Legal in Slack and Teams - Agents answer questions in your channels from your contracts and policies, with sources.
- Regulatory change - Scheduled agents watch the sources you choose and find the contracts a change affects.
- Renewals - An agent alerts the owner ahead of the notice period and drafts the termination letter or renewal addendum.
- Matters and outside counsel - An agent checks each line of a law-firm invoice against your billing guidelines.
