What you can do
- Review a contract three ways - Run a general review against general legal standards, a playbook review against your organization’s positions, or a library review against clause libraries built from your templates and past agreements. Each suggested redline comes with its reasoning.
- Respond to a counterparty’s redline - Focus the review on clauses that already contain tracked changes, and check the counterparty’s edits on your own paper against your clause library.
- Work with the Agent in Word - Ask questions, draft and redline, compare documents, and draft amendments. The Agent reads the open document, including tracked changes and comments, and answers with citations that point to the clause.
- Bring in more context - Add playbooks, templates, contracts, clause libraries, or a file from your computer to a request. You can also ask about other contracts in your repository, such as all contracts with one counterparty, or research legal questions on the web.
- Proofread before you send - Catch undefined or unused terms, number mismatches, unfilled placeholders, broken section references, and defined terms written in lowercase.
- Use approved language - Search your clause libraries while you work.
How it works
- You represent one side. The Word Add-in needs to know which side of the contract you represent before it reviews, proofreads, or answers.
- It proposes, you decide. The Word Add-in never changes your document on its own. What you accept lands as tracked changes or Word comments, which you accept or reject in Word like any others.
- Your work is saved with the document. Review results and Agent conversations stay with the document.
- It runs where Word runs. It’s available through Microsoft AppSource for Word on Mac, Windows, and the web, and works on .docx files. IT can deploy it for the whole organization from the Microsoft 365 admin center.
Works with
Playbook reviews use your organization’s Playbooks, and the Word Add-in brings the Agent into Word. When you need the bigger picture across many contracts, use the Knowledge Center. A document in Word can also be linked to a Flows task that is in review. See how they fit together on Chamelio Features and all integrations.See it in action
- Playbook redlining in Word - redline against your own playbook, inside Word.
- Contracts in many languages - review and draft in the contract’s own language.
- Templates and clauses - one governed home for templates and approved clauses.
