The Agent is an AI legal associate that reasons, plans, and carries out tasks during your review. You talk to it in plain English, in the Chamelio web app or inside Microsoft Word, and it works from your playbooks, your repository, and your legal know-how. Its built-in memory lets you ask follow-up questions without restarting the conversation.

What you can do

  • Review and spot risk - Identify key terms, risks, and ambiguous or unfavorable terms in an agreement.
  • Ask questions about your contracts - Get answers that draw on the whole agreement, and compare terms or summarize obligations across related agreements in your repository.
  • Redline to your positions - Get redlines aligned with your legal position and your playbooks, delivered as tracked changes.
  • Draft documents - Draft clauses, comments, correspondence such as termination letters, and amendments. The Agent can generate an amendment as a DOCX file from a PDF or URL you’re reviewing.
  • Compare documents - Compare multiple documents from your repository or your computer, or compare a contract to your template and get the changes as tracked changes with a high-level summary.
  • Research the law - Surface relevant case law, statutes, and legal analysis. The Agent gives a short answer in the chat and attaches the full research as a Word memo.
  • Bring in outside material - Upload files, including images such as screenshots, provide URLs or PDFs, or let the Agent search the web for public information.

How it works

Chamelio works as an orchestration layer rather than relying on a single AI model. When you send a request, Chamelio breaks it into smaller, well-defined steps, plans which models, data sources, and order to use for each, runs each step, and combines the results into one response. Where applicable, its reasoning and planned actions are shown, so you can see how it reached a conclusion. You give the Agent context by adding playbooks, templates, policies, contracts, clause libraries, Vault folders, or your own files. With a Vault folder, it finds the most relevant files and reads the top ones to answer. In Word, the Agent reads the open document, including tracked changes and comments, and cites the clauses it relies on. It proposes changes and you decide what goes into the document. Chat history is saved per user and per document.

Works with

The Agent runs inside the Word Add-in, so you can review and redline in Microsoft Word with your approved playbooks and fallback positions. It searches the agreements in the Knowledge Center, and Agent Hub puts AI agents to work in specific roles for your legal team.
