# Notification Preferences

> Control how and when you receive alerts from Chamelio for tasks, approvals, and document activity

Notification preferences are personal settings that control how and when you receive alerts from Chamelio. Each user configures their own preferences independently.

## Accessing Notifications

Navigate to **Settings > Notifications** in your personal settings.

Use the **"Enable Notifications"** toggle to turn all notifications on or off at once.

## Flows Notifications

| Notification         | Description                                       | Channels   |
| -------------------- | ------------------------------------------------- | ---------- |
| **Task Assignments** | When a task is assigned to you                    | Email, Web |
| **Task Activity**    | Updates and changes to tasks you're involved in   | Email, Web |
| **Task Mentions**    | When someone mentions you in a task comment       | Email, Web |
| **Task Approvals**   | Pending approval requests and completed approvals | Email, Web |

## Core Notifications

| Notification         | Description                                                       | Channels |
| -------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------- | -------- |
| **Playbook Updates** | Changes to playbooks in your workspace                            | Web      |
| **Recommendations**  | When Chamelio AI generates recommendations from document analysis | Web      |
| **Upload Issues**    | When documents fail to upload or have processing issues           | Web      |
| **Automations**      | Automation workflow status and completions                        | Web      |

## Notification Channels

Chamelio supports multiple delivery channels for notifications:

* **Email** — Delivered to your inbox
* **Web** — Visible in the Chamelio interface notification panel
* **Slack** — Received as a direct message from Chamelio in Slack (requires [Slack integration](/guides/integrations/slack))
* **Teams** — Received as a direct message from Chamelio in Microsoft Teams
