# Set up the Microsoft Teams integration

> Install the Chamelio app for Microsoft Teams, review the permissions it needs, and start Flows or Agent conversations from Teams.

For what the Teams integration does, see [Chamelio for Microsoft Teams](https://docs.chamelio.ai/guides/integrations/microsoft-teams.md).

## Installing the Integration

**1. Get the app package**

Reach out to the Chamelio team to receive the Microsoft Teams app package.

**2. Connect from Chamelio**

In the Chamelio app, go to **Settings > Org Integrations** and click **Connect** on the **Teams** card.

**3. Upload in Teams Admin Center**

In the Microsoft Teams Admin Center, go to **Manage apps** and upload the package you received.

**4. Review permissions**

Review and accept the requested permissions during installation.

## Required Permissions

`TeamMember.Read.All`, `Channel.ReadBasic.All`, `TeamsActivity.Send`, `Chat.ReadWrite.WhereInstalled`, `ChatMessage.Read.All`, `User.Read.All`, `ChannelMember.Read.All`, `Files.Read.All`, `Team.ReadBasic.All`, `Chat.Read.All`, `ChannelMessage.Read.All`, `Chat.Create`, `email`, `offline_access`, `profile`, `User.Read`

These permissions let Chamelio operate within Teams, support workflows, and surface relevant legal context where needed.

## Using the Integration

Chamelio in Teams supports two modes:

* **Flow initiation** - Any designated user, including Viewers with permission to launch a workflow, can start a Flow by mentioning Chamelio in a channel or by opening a form through the **+** icon > app picker > **Chamelio**. Some requests include an approval step, such as a OneDrive file upload.
* **Agent conversations** - Reserved for [Agent Users](https://docs.chamelio.ai/guides/user-management.md#agent-users). Start a conversation by mentioning Chamelio in a thread, or by opening a private session with the app.
