Flows is how legal work moves through Chamelio. Each flow is a guided process that takes a request from the moment someone asks for help to a signed, filed document. Legal teams use it to give the business one way in, automate the repetitive parts, and see where every request stands. ## What you can do * **Take requests where people already work** - A flow can start from a form in Chamelio, a Slack or Microsoft Teams mention or form, an email to the flow's own address, or a Salesforce record event. * **Automate the steps in between** - Arrange steps that generate documents, run the Agent, route for approval, negotiate, collect signatures, notify people, and store the results. * **Route approvals to the right people** - Send approval requests by Slack, Microsoft Teams, or email, require approvals in order, and vary the approvers based on request data such as contract value. * **Assign work by rule** - Instead of naming one person, let Chamelio pick the assignee by rotation, by current workload, or by plain-language instructions the Agent follows. * **Track every request as a task** - Each run creates a task that shows its current step, who is working on it, and its full activity, and each person sees what's waiting for them in one inbox. * **Build flows by describing them** - Tell the Agent Builder what you need in plain language and it drafts the flow on a visual canvas, which you can then refine. ## How it works A request comes in through the flow's Intake step, which sets where it can start and what the requester fills in. It then runs through the steps you arrange, and each step can use the outputs of Intake and earlier steps, so the request keeps its context and leaves an audit trail. The steps you can add: * Generate a document from a template, run an Agent step to review, extract, or draft, and negotiate a document with version history * Route for approval, collect more information mid-flow, and send for signature with DocuSign or Chamelio Sign (or request acceptance of a Clickwrap agreement) * Notify people by Slack, Microsoft Teams, or email, and store files and data in the Vault, the Contracts repository, or Salesforce * Branch on conditions, rejoin branches with a merge, and update the task's details such as priority, owner, or due date Every run is tracked as a task from submission to completion. ## Works with Flows draws on the [Agent](https://docs.chamelio.ai/features/core/agent-overview.md) for AI steps and routing, sends documents for signature with [Chamelio Sign](https://docs.chamelio.ai/features/core/chamelio-sign-overview.md) or [DocuSign](https://docs.chamelio.ai/guides/integrations/docusign.md), and can save the final signed copy to your contract repository in the [Knowledge Center](https://docs.chamelio.ai/features/core/knowledge-center-overview.md). Requests can arrive from [Slack](https://docs.chamelio.ai/guides/integrations/slack.md) and [Microsoft Teams](https://docs.chamelio.ai/guides/integrations/microsoft-teams.md), and the [Chamelio API](https://docs.chamelio.ai/guides/integrations/chamelio-api.md) can start any published flow from another system with its request details already filled in, then follow it step by step.
