# Knowledge Center

> Chamelio's contract repository and legal knowledge base: extracted contract data, search, Playbooks, Collections, templates, and a document vault.

Knowledge Center is where your contracts and legal knowledge live in Chamelio. It turns your repository into a searchable, structured source of truth that legal teams use to find terms, track contracts, and keep negotiation positions and templates in one place.

## What you can do

* **Keep every contract in one repository** - Upload contracts in bulk, pick files from Google Drive or SharePoint, or forward signed contracts by email. Chamelio tracks processing, flags duplicates, and skips documents that appear unsigned.
* **Get contract data without manual entry** - Chamelio extracts over 15 key data points from each contract, including parties, effective and end dates, contract value, auto-renewal, notice periods, and governing law. You can add your own fields, defined by an AI prompt.
* **Search and filter the whole portfolio** - Search the full text of your contracts, filter and sort by any extracted field, and save views.
* **See contract families** - Amendments, order forms, and DPAs can be grouped under their parent agreement, so one relationship reads as one family.
* **Group contracts into Collections** - Save a set of filters as a collection that updates as new matching contracts arrive, and keep it private, share it with specific people, or share it across your organization.
* **Build Playbooks** - Chamelio analyzes your templates, signed contracts, and past redlines to draft your negotiation positions and fallbacks, which you can then edit.
* **Manage templates and reference documents** - Keep Word templates with placeholders, conditional sections, and version history, and store policies and other non-contract files in the Vault with private, shared, or organization-wide access.

## How it works

Contracts come in, Chamelio extracts their data, and that data becomes columns you can search, filter, and group. Collections sit on top of those filters, and you can run automations on a collection, on a schedule or when a contract comes in or goes out, with notifications sent by email or Slack. There are no built-in renewal alerts: end dates, terms, and auto-renewal are extracted, and you get alerted through an automation or an Agent Hub agent. Playbooks hold your positions, marked Critical (always enforced) or Flexible (applied only when relevant), and Chamelio suggests updates that a playbook owner or admin approves or dismisses. Archived documents stay separate but searchable.
