# Consolidated View

> Group related contracts under their parent agreement instead of a flat document list

## What Is Consolidated View?

In the Contracts section of your Knowledge Center, a toggle in the upper right of the table — **Consolidated view** — changes how your contract library is organized: from a flat list of individual documents into a hierarchical view that groups related documents under their parent agreement.

## The Problem It Solves

A single commercial relationship rarely lives in one document. A Master Services Agreement might have several amendments, a Data Processing Agreement, and multiple Order Forms issued under it. In the standard view, all of these appear as separate rows with no visible connection — finding every document tied to a counterparty means manually scanning or filtering across the full list.

Consolidated view surfaces the structure that already exists: parent agreements appear as top-level rows, with related documents (amendments, order forms, DPAs, and other instruments) nested beneath them. Clicking the chevron next to a parent reveals the full document family, and each nested row is labeled with its relationship type (e.g. Amendment, Issue Under). All standard columns — Document Type, Counter Party Name, Effective Date, Jurisdiction — remain visible on each child document.

## How to Turn It On (and Off)

The toggle sits at the top right of your Contracts table. Click it to switch views instantly — blue means Consolidated view is active, grey means you're back in the standard flat view.

## What Changes Between the Two Views

Because related documents roll up under their parent, the total row count is lower in Consolidated view — you can expand as many or as few groups as you like to focus on one counterparty's history while keeping the rest collapsed. The standard view remains useful for working across all documents indiscriminately — bulk exports, comparing effective dates across unrelated agreements, or filters that span the full library regardless of parent-child relationships.
