# Chamelio Sign

> Send any PDF or Word document for signature without building a flow, and track every envelope in one place

Chamelio Sign lets you send a document for signature on its own, without a flow. To collect signatures as part of a flow, use the [Sign step](/features/flows/sign) instead.

## Getting Started

Click **Sign** in the left sidebar. Your envelopes are split across four tabs: **Sent**, **Received**, **Completed**, and **Draft**. Use **Search** and **Filters** to find one.

## Send a document for signature

Click **Set up envelope** and work through the four steps. Click **Save draft** at any point to finish later - the envelope appears in the **Draft** tab.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Upload document">
    Enter an **Envelope name** and upload a PDF or DOCX file (up to 100 MB). This step also has a **Save to contracts** toggle.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add recipients">
    Add people under **Counter party** (name and email) and **User party** (people in your organization). Set each recipient as a **Signer** or a **Viewer** - viewers receive a completed copy but don't sign.

    Keep **Sign in order** on to require signatures in the order shown. Use **Swap party order** to swap the Counter party and User party.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Message">
    Enter the **Subject** and message recipients will receive.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review fields">
    Place fields on the document for each recipient: **Signature**, **Initials**, **Text field**, **Date**, **Checkbox**, **Radio buttons**, **Dropdown**, or **Stamp**. When everything is in place, click **Send**.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Track an envelope

Click an envelope to see its **Status**, when it **Expires**, the **Sender**, **Signing progress**, its recipients, the message, and an **Activity** timeline. Click **View document** to open the document.

To void an envelope, open its **⋮** menu and select **Void envelope**.
